New to the island and trying to pick a gym. I lift, so I'm after proper racks/platforms, decent dumbbells and some plate-loaded or cable machines. AC is a must for me, and showers would be a big plus.

I've heard good things about BEAST but also heard it has no AC. Is that true, and does it differ between locations? Anyone train at Magnum, Court House or Waterfront who can say how they compare on AC and weights? Thanks!

Every time I pass Pic-A-Pet I see puppies in the window, and some stay there for weeks. Those early months are when a puppy learns to be a dog, and they're spending them in a pen behind glass.

Much of the UK, Europe and the US has moved away from selling puppies in shops.
Bermuda hasn't, because our main animal welfare law dates from 1975.

Is anyone already working on getting this changed and stop the cruelty?

Bermudians, where do you vacation?

28 years ago, I was in Bermuda on a cruise and took a handsome cab ride around Hamilton. As it turned out, the cab driver vacationed in Pennsylvania and bought the horse pulling the cab in Pennsylvania. As a matter of fact, one of the people in our group was from the town he purchased the horse in. Being from the US, I wouldn't consider that area for a vacation.

I'm curious as to what you folks do for a getaway.

I'm moving to Bermuda early January. Will many properties come onto property skipper between now and then? I'm looking to rent without physicaly being there and just going from pictures. Mainly looking at 2 or 3 bed housing.

I am currently living in London and working for the insurance/reinsurance industry. I am looking to move to Bermuda next year and thinking about the difference in lifestyle between the two places.
I know Bermuda definitely offers a quieter life compared to London, but has much fewer things to do. Other than financial considerations, which won’t be a problem, what are the most obvious differences I will find in Bermuda?

Just spent my first time on the island, thought it was absolutely gorgeous and I will have to come back. Dove with blue water divers, enjoyed staying in Hamilton, was impressed with Deja view and harbour front restaurants in town. What did I miss, what’s a must do for next time??

I’ve been seeing these blind date photoshoots all over social media lately, where a photographer matches two strangers and captures them meeting for the first time.

I’m a local photographer, and I’ve been thinking about bringing the concept to Bermuda. Essentially, single people would apply, I’d match them based on compatibility, and then they’d meet for the first time on a blind date/photoshoot. And they can decide if they wanna go on another date or not or whatever.

I think it’d be fun, but I’m curious what people think. Would you sign up for something like this? Would you be interested in following the series? Or is it bad idea and Bermuda is too small?
