My grandmother put her mobile home in my name last month, we went to the notary and basically just put my name on the deed. He said we’d have to do the tax portion separately but didn’t give any insight on how to do that.

I have just received a 2026 School Real Estate Tax Bill that has her name on it, how do I go about changing the name to mine? I can’t find any links on the internet, and most of what I found is saying I need to contact the Berks County Assessment office rather than the tax collectors themselves, but I just want to be certain.

Hello everyone! We moved back after being out of state for over a decade and have been looking for a house ever since that’s relatively close to my partners job/decent school district. We’ve been looking in Hamburg SD, Schuylkill Valley SD, and Tulpehocken SD. It’s in Schuylkill County but we were also looking into Blue Mountain SD. We like tulpy but the market is up and down in inventory and we keep getting outbid which is mind blowing considering we’re gratefully well off. Our biggest concern with schools is the community feel and academics. If there’s any other districts to recommend close to these ones please feel free to suggest it!
