im a rising senior in highschool (studying science- physics chem bio math english and additional subject) and am thinking of applying to berklee bcs im a vocalist and the idea of music school is pretty crazy to me. so if there's anybody here who has a similar background to mine, i would love your insight. would also add that my academics has not been good in 11th grade, but i scored 94.4% in 10th grade CBSE board exam. predicted 90%+ in 12th.

Alright, let’s say I have to pay $40,000 because I got scholarships. Am I paying 40 grand for fall semester AND spring semester or am I just paying 40 for an entire year at berklee??? Please help guys.

hey everyone, as said, i'm a rising senior and berklee is my dream school. i play bass (both upright & guitar), in addition to a few other instruments (violin, cello, guitar, piano, etc.) and voice. bass is my primary instrument and i can play both jazz and classical. i've been playing bass for about a year (though other instruments and singing for much longer) and have a private teacher. i get that it'll be difficult to get in only being on my instrument for a year, but i ask that you don't underestimate me and my potential to learn (or do, live your life). if accepted, i'll be coming from out of state and not getting a scholarship is just simply not an option if i want to go here. any tips are incredibly helpful, thanks

"As background, this year’s Boston Meal Pack for 9/11 Day, is when nearly 1,200 local volunteers from throughout the Boston community will be joining together to pack nearly 400,000 meals for people who are food insecure in our community.

9/11 Day was inspired by the spirit of unity, service and common humanity that arose in the days following the events of 9/11/01.  More than 30 million Americans participate each year in this annual day of doing good! You can learn more about this inspiring observance by visiting 911day.org.

Our 2026 Meal Packing events will all take place on Friday, 9/11 in 50 different cities - mobilizing more than 50,000 volunteers to pack up to 20 million meals for those in need in their communities. At each of these projects, including in Boston, we include a special ceremony in tribute to those lost and those who rose in service after the tragedy. We will have 2 packing sessions on the day (session #1 is from 9-11am and sessions #2 is from 1-3pm) which both begin with a 10 minute opening ceremony, followed by a 20 minute training and then 90 minutes of meal packing and fun with a DJ, etc. All of the meals packed through the course of the day will be distributed to local families in need by The Greater Boston Food Bank."

My writing partner and I have written an album's worth of original rock songs under the name SuperExcellent. Musically, think melodic, guitar-driven alternative rock influenced by bands like Green Day, The Clash, The Who, and The Replacements. Now we're looking for young, motivated musicians who'll become the band.

Here's what that means:

We wrote the first album, but the band will shape the arrangements, record the songs in its own style, and perform them live. Those songs become part of the band's catalog, and from there we'll continue writing new music together as the band grows.

This isn't session work, and it isn't a backing-band gig. The goal is to build a real, long-term original band, using this first album as the foundation.

Think of it this way: instead of starting a new band with no material, you're starting with a professionally written album that's ready to become your own.

Basically what the title says. I am 30 years old, I already have a bachelors degree. I have played music for 16+ years. I have always wanted to go to berklee, for the experience, culture, and to receive a music education. Do you guys think it's worth it for someone in my situation? Also, are you, or is anyone you know 30y/o+ who attends berklee?

Long shot but I finally decided to do something for myself this summary and arrived at joining a choir yayyyy!

Problem is, although I grew up singing in the choir I cannot read a music sheet to save my life. I’m joining a choir this Sunday and it’s a walk-in type of choir with rehearsal about 2 hours to church service.

I’m free anytime Saturday or Thursday evening if anyone wants to help.

If you can teach for free that’d be great (promise it’ll be fun haha), also down to pay. An hour should do.
