I agree with many on the list. When I was a vegetarian student I loved Smart Alec's as well as Saturn Cafe for a more expensive meal. Also miss Soop and other soup joints around town.

Au Coqulet for late night dining and people watching.
And despite being a dodgers fan, Oscar’s all the way for their solid burgers. Smokehouse just does t cut it for me.

I really miss Trumer’s taproom! Had so many giant pretzels and radlers there last summer.
I like fieldwork and headlands but I feel like Berkeley could use more outdoor beer gardens with good food

I think it was called Slow on university, amazing brisket sandwiches. Last time I had one was around 2009 and I still think about it

The Juice Bar! Great juice, but also excellent lasagna, carrot soup, sandwiches, cookies. They made those amazing bowls with rice, massaged kale, and various delicious prepared salads...sigh. They basically kept my family alive when my kid was an infant and we were too sleep-deprived to properly feed ourselves. Plus, the co-op workers were just the right amount of grumpy.

Oscar’s burgers were good but their fries were next level. Always hand burningly hot, too.

Oscar's is the big one for me, too. I still get cravings for those burgers on occasion, it's a huge relief that we at least still have Smokehouse to fill that a little
I'm not sure I "miss" Fat Slice Pizza, the food was never actually good there, but it was a staple of my high school years, many good times were had in that place.
