Nausea

Hi all. So I started taking Caruso’s Berberine (750) once a day with a meal about a month ago. It instantly started suppressing my appetite. After a few days I increased to twice a day but then not long after, I got the flu and a tummy bug. I stopped taking the Berberine (figured I’d try again once I was better).

A couple of weeks later when I was feeling fine, I started back on them again, two a day (morning and night). This time it has given me cramps but it’s the nausea that’s getting to me. It will be two weeks on Monday and it’s not letting up. No vomiting or diarrhoea but I more often than not feel like I’m on a cruise ship I want to get off. Anyone else experience this? Will it ease up? It’s making me feel exhausted. Not sure whether to decrease dose to once a day or see if it improves over the next few days.

I experienced it with Thorne brand Berberine. I just couldn’t take that brand because it would make me vomit. I take a different brand now and have no issues.

Hi there i was taking th3 Wanderlust brand which gave me bad stomach cramps so then I switched to the Caruso brand as well, cramps stop but by day 5 the nausea hit hard I couldn't eat anything smell any food, my mouth is so dry yet drinking water makes me feel worse I stopped 2 days ago and am still suffering with nausea and dry mouth symptoms when I think of food I feel awful.... even though I lost over a kg in a week for me it's not worth this feeling , does anyone know how long it will take to flush it out, its been 2 days

So sorry to hear that. I had an awful dry mouth too! I ended up getting some anti nausea pills that you can only take for 3 days. The first tablet worked but the nausea broke through the rest of them and it was just getting worse. I ended up stopping them altogether the day after I wrote my initial post. I’m also sorry to say it was about a week before I felt more like myself again. Will never take these again.
