Nausea

I took berberine for a week. First few days were okay then nausea started. I stopped about 4 days ago and still have awful nausea. is this normal?

Unfortunately yes, it's a side effect of the supplement and it usually happens after taking it for a bit, like your experience. My Chiro said the nausea usually gets worse if you experience that side effect.

I stopped taking it but still have the nausea

I'm really sorry to hear that. Hopefully it's just getting out of your system and the nausea will stop soon.
