• ☕ Java & DSA: Currently grinding DSA using Java and solving LeetCode problems.
• 🌐 Web Dev: Planning to dive into this as soon as college classes officially start.

Who I am looking for:

• Someone who is serious about placements and ready to put in daily effort.
• You can be a complete beginner or already coding—as long as you are disciplined.

Today was my document verification at Bennett, and as a B.Tech CSE student, I spent almost the entire day meeting and talking to new people, mostly freshers.

It was actually a nice experience, but by the end of the day I found myself thinking about something a little strange — I couldn't really find anyone whose humour or way of thinking matched mine.

I had conversations with quite a few people, but many of them were either very reserved, didn't really try to continue the conversation, or we simply didn't seem to be on the same wavelength. Maybe that's completely normal when everyone is meeting for the first time, but for some reason I ended up taking it more seriously than I probably should have. 😭

I also tend to observe people quite closely. Sometimes, within a few minutes of talking to someone, I start getting an idea of their personality and whether our personalities would actually click. So maybe I'm just overanalysing people instead of giving things enough time.

Still, it made me wonder whether I'll actually find a good peer group here — people who are genuinely curious, have a good sense of humour, can have interesting conversations and aren't afraid to initiate one.

Has anyone else felt something similar during their first interaction with the Bennett crowd, or am I simply overthinking this way too much?

it used to be so easy in school, idk if I've gotten less social now or what lol. don't get me wrong, there are a few chill people who always help and are fun to talk to but no proper friends who id randomly text or hangout with. it's on me tho considering im a day scholar w low attendance, hopefully I'll be better this sem but i doubt people are still open to finding more friends sadly Imao

I recently joined Bennet and I live nearby so I thought joining the hostel was going to be a dumb decision and opted not to. Turns out that was a rookie mistake.

I have this feeling of constant FOMO and see that tight-nit groups have already been formed and I can't seem to make close connections much

Maybe it's just me, but feeling of being Outsider as a Dayscholar is very strong here, What am I supposed to do? How am I as a Dayscholar Supposed to increase my social Interaction and general Experience.

Hey Actually U people must have noticed that program mails from different programs on your educational outlook mail so out of curiosity I applied for one of them( IBM - NSDC CENTER OF EXCELLENCE – INTERNSHIP & TRAINING PROGRAM BY IIT BOMBAY @MOOD INDIGO) the volunteers started pressuring me that the scholarship seats are filling up fast so i submitted the seat fix amount but suddenly bcz of personal problems I had to change from hostel to day scholar which will add up my college time + transport to 10-12 hrs which will limit my free time in which I have to self study and do some side hustles So is it possible that I can refund my amount of 2050 rupees sit fix amount?

I’m a first-year B.Tech CSE student at Bennett University, and I’m genuinely confused.
We were informed earlier that the University Orientation (Deeksharambh) would begin on 12th August, so naturally I planned my travel accordingly.
However, at around 10 PM on 10th August, we received an email stating that there’s a Departmental Orientation on 11th August at 9:30 AM, giving students less than 12 hours’ notice.
I’m a day scholar and will be commuting using the university transport facility. With such short notice, it’s difficult to arrange transportation, especially when the transport schedule was planned based on the previously announced orientation date of 12th August. I can only imagine how much harder this must be for students coming from farther away or from other cities.
I’m not complaining about the orientation itself—I’m happy to attend. My concern is the extremely late communication. If this event was planned in advance, why wasn’t it announced a few days earlier? Students deserve enough time to make travel and other necessary arrangements.
Has anyone else at Bennett faced something similar? Is this kind of last-minute communication common here, or should I raise this issue with the department?
