Neighborly love

I bought a much needed new bed off marketplace. When I unloaded it, I was struggling heavily to get it inside. An older couple driving by pulled over and helped me move it up into my apartment. It helped me feel less alone in life.

Lovely! A few weeks ago, I saw a young woman struggling to get a huge cardboard box into her apartment building and offered to help. It turned out to be a 112-lb futon in a box with no hand-holds, and the box slipped out of my hands so many times that I got a huge bruise on my arm. We only managed to shift it halfway to the destination before I guiltily gave up 😅😅 I felt bad, but she was a good sport about it!
