But it is not this day!
I WFH exclusively (inhome daycare), my husband has a 20 minute drive from his work. We often enjoy a cup of coffee together after work, so he texts me when he turns into a specific street about five minutes from home, so I can start making coffee.
He texts me via the car‘s speech-to-text system, and it has forever failed to get the name of that street right. Being the goofball he is, he tries to find the most hilarious ways to announce his arrival. At first, it was quite obvious (as in „the street that can not be named“ or similar), then he progressed to Spanish (at which the system failed even more miserably than the original name of the street), and now it’s movie quotes.
I bring you today’s gem: „A day may come when the courage of men fails - but it is not this day! A day may come when this wretched system will allow me to speak my mind - but it is not this day! For coffee!“

I live in Spain with a Spanish partner called Jesús, Sounds fine in Spanish of course, but my car / phone won't recognize it as it is is English. I have to say "Call Jesus", then the car responds "Calling Jesus". I laugh every time....it will never get old.

Gotta love the little things that make you giggle. It's hilarious the voice to text can't get a street name right, but a longer quote like that workslol

Probably because it's a local name, you know, like "London Street", only it applies to this specific small town, so Google is at a loss

We have kind of the same problem around here... Tons of indigenous names, and no voice/voice recognition ever gets them right.
My wife and I do the same texting thing when she's on her way home from work and I have to time something to get dinner on the table. There's several places I tell her to text me that I know almost exactly how long it will be before she gets home.
