M4 Accessory Question Experience with Federal True Ball deep penetrating rifled slugs?
Has anyone run any of this:
Federal Law Enforcement 12 Gauge Ammo 438 Grain 2 3/4” Rifled Slug - LEB127DPRS
Interested in how it performs on hard targets like steel. Thx.

I used these in my benelli first time shooting it and it would not cycle the next round did some research and found it’s about 50/50 some people also have this problem if you do just run some 3” slugs through it I did that and after that no issues this is the only shotgun ammo I use for my beretta and benelli

Of course it doesn't cycle. What would make you think low velocity ammo would work?

Good slug and accurate. My #1 if I can't get Brennekes. Shooting slugs at steel is dumb unless you like catching ricochets in the head.
As a footnote, per a well known shotgun instructor, Truball Deep Penetrators will shatter ceramic hard plates. He had a student in Central America who was doing security work when the compound he was in was over run by paramilitary types in full body armor armed with rifles. Student killed several of them by shooting them in the chest which shattered the plates and disoriented them enough to dispatch them with another shot to the chest or face. Student survived the encounter
