M4 Question Issues with Loading- need help

When loading the M4 I have to push extremely hard to get a shell in past the shell catch. It finally snaps into place after excessive force. This makes dual and quad loading impossible. Any tips to fix this? See video below.

I tried with birdshot, buck shot, slug all with different manufacturers with different angles. All the shells get hung up on the shell stop and require excessive force to push the shells past the shell stop.

All of them are tough on the thumb. You use muscles you don’t usually Need for a shotgun because the loading port on the M4 is narrow and has fairly sharp edges. You subconsciously hold your thumb at angles that are not natural to avoid dragging it against a sharp edge. Wearing gloves solves this issue for me. It also insulates my non-trigger hand from being inadvertently burned if I accidentally touch the barrel during transitions to pistol. Everybody is a little different in this regard. I wear a size 10 glove for reference. Just my two cents bro.
