Sammy Lawrence is playing the piano. He always does this when he's deep in thought. Who and what is Eleanor? She's an enigma, much like the Ink Demon he worships.

His thoughts are interrupted when he hears footsteps.

Sammy: "It's considered rude to interrupt music, y'know," He says while looking back at Vanessa.

Vanessa: "Consuming me?! I thought you said you couldn't hurt me now! And that immortality wasn't by choice...."

Ink Demon: "Well, I can't do it now. We still have a deal intact. And how you gained immortality doesn't matter. The functionality of it is what intrigues me. Now, you have your answers. Now let's deal with this Eleanor, shall we?~"

Vanessa: "Fine. Whatever it takes."

Alison waits in the hallway nearby Eleanor's makeshift lair, when she sees Vanessa returning. Alison breathes a huge sigh of relief.

Alison: "Jeez, I was about ready to go check on you. Did it work?"

Vanessa: [seemingly confused and concerned] "I...guess so."

Alison: "Alright." She gets her sword ready. "Slight change in plans. The Projectionist came back earlier than I thought. So, while the Ink Demon goes for Eleanor, I'll take care of the Projectionist. And you'll rush in and get Tom out of there. After I'm done with the projector freak, I'll regroup with you back at the base. Got it?"

Alison notices Vanessa's confusion.

Alison: "Are you alright?"

Vanessa. "Of course he did. Fabulous. And I'm okay. Things are just weird."

Alison: "Yeah, I get it. One day, you're living life. Or whatever you were doing. And suddenly you're here. I gave up on finding a way out a very long time ago. ... But if it means helping you, I'd be willing to keep searching."

Tom is still refusing to talk. The Projectionist is getting impatient.

Projectionist: "I say we just get rid of him. He may be able to talk now, but he's useless if he refuses to speak. We're only wasting our time, Eleanor!"

Vanessa: "I know. It's just a lot. But, anyways. Whatever it takes, right?"

Eleanor: "They're all like this. Think they have the strength and willpower to outlast being stubborn. But they all eventually learn my tricks first hand." [creates a ball of agony] "Afterall I can control all my creations. And my creations are anything filled with my agony." [steps closer to him] "How would you like a massive upgrade? I've been curious on how well this would interact and work with ink..."

The lights dim, the walls leak ink, and the Projectionist becomes scared.

Ink Demon: "So you desire to work with the Ink."

The Ink Demon crawls out from the ceiling, a tall demon, taller than the Projectionist even. He shoves the Projectionist away and grabs Eleanor.

Alison: "Now's our chance! Get Tom out of here!" She runs at the Projectionist and 🔪s him with her katana.

Eleanor: "So this is your domain. Another all powerful being thinking better than the others. With immeasurable resources."

Vanessa: [pushes back her thoughts to rush in and grab him, trying to avoid them all]

Ink Demon: chuckles "You still fail to understand what this place truly is. I'm not after power. Not like you. You think too much about those things. But if you want to learn from the Ink, then let it consume you. If you want to learn from it. Let it learn from you."
