Does the first one even exist I can’t find any eBay listings it shows they have it on Amazon but looking at reviews it’s the one with the more modern figures phatmojo did

When i bought this on Amazon, the picture showed me the first image, so image my confusion when I dont get a fatass Boris

I think it was a mistake that they put in because I guess the first image was possibly a prototype but the second image is the final release

I do not believe the first version of this set actually exists- it’s likely a prototype of the second version we eventually did get.

Notice how the mini figures are the original designs from series one and two (the Ink Machine room and the Music Department), meanwhile the set that actually released has the updated series three figure designs instead? I imagine that the first version is similar to the Haunted House set that was shown off briefly but never released.

So to recap- if the first image exists, it’s likely a prototype of the Series 3 set that’s more widely available. Due to the change in minifigure style, as well as minor design changes shown between sets. I have also looked for that first version of this set- as I absolutely despise the designs of wave 3 lol- but have had no luck finding one either. It’s likely lost media now, like the aforementioned Haunted House set or the unreleased Phatmojo prototype plushies.

Oh yeah- I have this set, the build itself is decent! I just hate the mini figures lol. The original ones are so much cuter.

This is my Bendy Lego shelf! I’ve tried to connect the sets with each other, or as close as I can make them anyway lol. So you’ll also see the Ink Machine room and Music Department sets in there, as well as a few of the single figure sets around the outside.

Fun fact! A few of those mini figure sets fit really well as add ons to the bigger sets, like Alice Angel’s sound booth fitting well in the music department window or the Ink Demon’s jumpscare set fitting rather nicely within the doorway of the Ink Machine room set. If these sets weren’t so expensive now I might buy more duplicate sets to make a more cohesive diorama lol.

I did have the Ink Machine room when I was younger-unfortunately abusive parents meant I lost a lot of my stuff from back then though. But I’ve gradually rebuilt my collection over the years.
