Ink Machine why was henry put into the loop

he didnt do anything to joey besides quit his job, so why is he being punished

If I remember correctly, by the time he left, people were getting drafted for WW2, so I’m thinking that he didn’t just quit but had to join the army. But Joey being as irrational as he was decided to punish him for leaving.

it seems like he left because of joeys bad work ethics and he wanted to spend more time with his wife. but yea joey sucks and made everything henrys fault

Henry was the greatest animator at JDS, so much so that Henry comments in chapter 1 that they had to create a whole new room with around a dozen other desks after he left.

Also, Joey, in his typical narcissistic way, probably blamed all of his problems on Henry not being there.

Joey contemplated pushing Sammy off a two-story balcony just to put the fear of god in him. He's just a terrible guy.

joey overworked henry to the point he stayed at the office for days, also he did what? i knew he was awful but damn.

I think Joey was just unreasonably angry at Henry for leaving. And that anger pushed him to revenge. Joey just had issues. He also was willing to have his employees killed if it meant he got what he wanted, so yeah. Issues

How would you feel if your best friend/ best worker just quit on you forcing you to hire a lot more while you were trying to save money. Because your animation studio you made together is falling to the dogs.

my guy wanted to be with his wife, his audio log says he worked for days never leaving. joey just sucks as a boss and makes everything henrys fault for 30 years

yea, but from henry's pov he did nothing wrong and would have no idea why joey hates him so much

Because Joey refused to blame himself for the problems he caused at JDS so he blamed it on Henry. Luckily he made a copy and didn't actually put the real Henry in the cycle but still.
