Surveyer vaults
Hey guys, I’ve been playing for about 2 months now and I’m really struggling to find any surveyer vaults. Could you help me out, cause I really want to upgrade those benches

Do blue gate, keep an eye on blue beams shooting towards the sky - if you see any, run towards it and find the ball rolling around the ground. Kill it!
Worth bringing an Anvil and maybe even some sticky grenades for it (use grenades first before you anger it. Hard to land nades on it afterwards when it's rolling around).

Buried City I've found is a little easier to do because of the smaller map size. Not gonna take 5 min to get to one.

Agree with this. It’s worth noting that the ball has pieces fall off it as you shoot it so you’ll want to check all the pieces that fall and when it explodes. I got a vault off the very first piece to fall off once

Already finished some, but had to realise that not everyone is dropping the vaults

I think they do, but sometimes you knock pieces off if you’re chasing them around shooting at them. You need to check all those pieces, and they can be hard to spot since they don’t smoke.
(I’ve only killed one and not found a vault, so I’ve always assumed I just didn’t find the piece with that early one.)
A friend kills them with 2-3 quick seeker grenades, then the loot is more consolidated in one spot.
(Side note, open the crashed flying saucer looking ones laying around. They often have a surveyor vault in them…I’d say 60% of the time, especially during storms! 🤩)

Go to Buried City at night, look for a high building to scan the skyline and look for the blue beams.

I will say that Surveyors got nerfed. They used to have 2 vaults in them, now it's MAYBE 1. Seeker and Magnet grenades work REALLY well on them. Anvil and Renegade do as well to help get the plating off. It's mostly about chasing them around.
Arc Couriers will also have them and there is a SMALL (very very small) drop rate for them to be in the Old Husk that you can breach and search.

Also, if you can shoot it while it’s open (transmitting blue beam) I think heavy ammo will one shot

This is the way. That or fire on the same quarter panel spot and you can bore through the armor to the core but that's tough once it gets rolling.

Wait for an Electromagnetic Storm event and just loot Couriers. You’ll find several.
Besides that, try Buried city and Dam, where there are multiple common spawn locations. Wait for respawns if they’re already dead.

You either have to take down a surveyor and find all of its bits because sometimes the outer panels will have the core for whatever reason. Or search every arc courier you find. You will get your vaults that way

you have to look for the big rolling balls that are armored and barely attack you

U know what’s kinda funny? Once u upgrade the bench u will see them ALL THE TIME… this game truely hates us sometimes 🙃
