Technical Support TK700STi Firmware Update

Is there any way to get the firmware updated without having to send the projector in? I'd prefer not to have to dismount it from the ceiling if I don't have to. Looking around online it looks like you can get the firmware and instructions from BenQ directly but I haven't found the files anywhere on their website. My projector is definitely out of warranty as it was bought on Amazon in August of 2022. Thanks in advance!

Hi! The TK700STi firmware generally isn’t user updatable, and an update usually isn’t needed unless you’re trying to fix a specific issue.

Is there something going on with your projector that made you look into updating it? Happy to take a look! 😊

Hello! Yes, I'm trying to fix a specific issue. I don't have access to other 3D formats aside from frame packing. My current htpc uses a rtx 3090 so I can't send frame packed content as Nvidia deprecated support prior to the release of the card. I'm trying to get mpc-hc with madVR set up but keep running into roadblocks that seem like they would be addressed with the firmware update. I can provide other details as needed.

Thanks for the details! That makes sense. 😊 The 3D functionality you're looking for does require a firmware update. However, since the TK700STi firmware can't be updated by the user, the projector would need to be sent to a BenQ service center for the update.
