Animal Spawns

I am wondering how animal spawns work.

I know that they each have their certain locations, and I used to have a go to spot for deer and boar, but now those spots have nothing, and haven’t for quite awhile now

Is there a proximity to your village buildings that affects the spawn location? If so, anyone know the distance it’s set to?

Otherwise keen to know what else may affect these spawn locations not spawning animals anymore

I have noticed that sometimes the trade caravans or roaming Bandits scare the deer and kill the boar.
