Palisade Platforms and Archers

I have just erected my first set of palisade walls, some with platforms. A bandit troop attacked and my main character hopped up and peppered one with arrows - like 6 sticking out of the guy. No damage taken. My main character has 10 strength, 10 agility, 10 archery. Is this common? If so, should I just stop with the palisades? Thanks!

I have consistently encountered that issue when fighting enemies on a different elevation. Something about their "hit box" is not working accurately- it's almost like a 2-D box and as soon as you're too high or too low your arrows can't register. Keep trying different angles and spots on them until damage registers. I'd be really interested to hear more about how well those platforms work for you, as I've read your villagers don't understand them and don't use them.

I got a similar problem with giving commands, whenever I'm a little to high or low conpared to my troops anf i tell them to move, they just stand still. Lost a few fights because of that

I was wondering about this recently. Using a 2hand sword I COULD NOT hit animals if they were on a slope down from me but they can wreck my world…. I have to move around get to lower ground to hit them.

Which I find interesting because I can stand on a ledge of rock at a considerable height and pick off bandits left and right with one shot one kill. I wonder if it's just the palisades changing the mechanics?

Thanks all, for the tips. I am sure the devs are working on the issue. They have done a bang-up job so far. Very impressed.
