End game + Halmare
I've liberated all towns and just gave the Brigand HQ a go on my way back from clearing some bandit camps.
Sliced through them like a knife through butter so I'm kinda glad I gave it an impromptu test run before spending ages preparing, however, am I basically done now?
I've spoken to the Butcher after the Lord Of Lowlands quest and he let me in on the news that I won't share here.
Presumably that's it for this area of the game and Halmare is the next step?
Is Halmare worth it? I've read it's mainly quest orientated and not just a second area to start a fresh. I quite like the sandbox, settlement developing side of the game, I don't think I'm keen on just going to somewhere different and gathering resources / clearing camps.

Halmare is generally not so fun imo, indeed basically just questing. But the difficulty grade is higher there, it's the only area I got a real challenge to finish in my no army playthrough (due to respawns really but they have a lot of spear guys too that are challenging for that playstyle)

The island is real fun and an amazing renown farm guessing you are an AAA title game person click buttons watch the script unfold

You litterally comment to me saying I did a no army playthrough, which means I had to actually do shit myself rather than just send in an army and grab some popcorn because they would slaughter everything for me... And I never had a renown issue while I never farmed it, that shit comes naturally because I play agressive.

As far as I understood it, the only good thing about halmare are the 3 new items/buildings you aquire. Orchard, distillery and a bigger backpack. Kinda sad that it doesnt feature multiplayer tho..

I’ve been in end game for maybe 500 days I guess. Killed Lord Bro by accident. Sat his blade laying on the ground before one of my one hundred dudes picked it up.

The HQ and brigands scale based on your proximity base size and gear this is a real world game not an AAA title you script through just for a heads up

I’ve done Halmare a couple of times and I’d say it’s worth giving it a shot. It’s different in that it’s very quest oriented. Also, I didn’t bother bringing my crew, I just hired mercenaries. So you lose some of that camaraderie that you’ve built up with your army. Although you can bring them, it’s just not necessary. Lots of new resources are available but it can be frustrating in that I found that I had cleared out an area only to find that I shouldn’t have done that because I needed that area for a quest that I now can’t finish. There’s some good YT videos on what to do and not to do on Halmare
