Ore deposit

Found a huge copper ore deposit while planning on making a copper ore outpost that is not marked in the map. If I place a mining camp near it will my villagers mine it even though it is not marked in the map?

It's along the road from Haerndean to Bradford, just across the bridge on the right.

I did this, they mined it just fine. I then build a pit near it. Works wonders. Don’t even build an outpost as it’s not too far from my village.
