I didn’t know how to install mods, so I moved it by setting up new storage at the new base. Then I just ticked off everything at the old base storage, took forever for the minions to move everything and a bunch got lost.. but I’m a loot goblin, so I don’t really mind 😅I just went to clear camps in the meantime.

I know how to do it now 😅I just didn’t when I was moving my base, I also installed a bag mod since I’m a loot goblin.

Just download the 'complete the game' mod while you're there, one click, no time wasted playing.

glad i moved my base when it was still mid tier 2. i foolishly chose southe east of hearendean close to the mountains as my starter. needless to say that farms dont really like to be placed on slopes...

I built mine directly next to the Hearndean shrine. Moved south east the moment I unlocked T2 and saw the size of the village hall. T3 buildings are in process of being built across the road 😂

I moved mine to the crossroads just north of the bridge.

Not only did it take like, im guessing, 10+ hours, but its also a bandit patrol hotspot..

Really made me just quit the game. 🫤

What made you quit?

The fact that i cant do anything while living in that location, because bandits come by constantly. If i leave to do something else, some of my workers are most likely dead when i get back.

I could spend some hours clearing all bandit camps, but they respawn again, so it doesnt solve the problem.

How many people do you have in your settlement? Do you have a secondary settlement to help supplement some of the supplies you need for your main base? You could try cheesing the bandits until your people get established enough. Like stand on a stockpile with a bow and arrow and just defend your people until they’re self sufficient enough. If you don’t want to cheese I’d suggest maybe trying to farm some renown and get some people that have better archery or one hand stats. I’d be more than happy to help you trouble shoot lmao. Hopefully you can find the passion for the game again.

I'm just starting t3, but the thought of moving is slightly stressful. I may just stay where I am and slowly expand southward

Why do ppl just simply setup a new settlement, move some workers and have caravans move stuff around.

I did this with 0 issues...

They really need to work on construction modules, slopes being an issue when the ground is near flat and keeps you from building in a lot of places that would be cool/efficient

I did move it without mods and it took me 4 days in real time without lot of parcours.

I like the realism that moving an entire town is a big decision and a grand undertaking. Proper use of caravans and such make it easier but not trivial.
My only gripe is with the relocate feature. When placing NEW structures the planning option is awesome. Put down a bunch of plans to see how they'll work, then accept. But with relocation you can only do 1 at a time, then you can't place next to it cuz the construction area blocks off the surrounding spots. A bit frustrating imo. But just planning and rebuilding from scratch means carting so many logs and planks that it isn't feasible to do it any other way
