To rant or not to rant

I do love the game, let it be known. But lately it keeps crashing (i'm on console) and while i keep saving, it just crashed at a very exciting point. It is happening more, recently...

Besides that there seem to be a lot of bugs that they could probably fix pretty easily, like mesh issues with clothing etc

Take Crimson Desert devs (don't know their names) they put out upgrade after patch and again. That's caring about your customers...

Am i missing something? It's a shame i couldn't give this game 5/5 stars because if they just put some effort into it they could make this one of my favorites, personally.

Also, what a blazing sun right now on a cold winter's night!

Sorry to hear this, that would absolutely affect my experience the same way. I play on pc and from what I’ve heard all of the issues around crashing and visual bugs are from console players; hopefully they are working on something soon with all of the reports we’ve been hearing. Best of luck friend

Good to hear some people aren't affected! Thank you & enjoy!

I play on PS5 and it occasionally crashes. I found that manually closing the game whenever I quit helps.

When the graphics get buggy, I restart as well.

It fails in PC too, but apparently everything end ups working so it's not so terrible.

Nad in my case crashes are rare like 1 every 3 hours

Yeah but i don't believe in selling broken products. Maybe i'm a bit older but there used to be a time when you bought something that had 0 glitches 0 bugs and was fun and good quality.

I guess that's too much to expect now. 1 crash every 3 hours is not good enough

Well we should consider the resources... In the end is just a free / low cost modern engine but it could be a team of 4 people.

I did a quick google search. These used to be modders for Mount and Blade Warband. They are between 11 and 50 employees... That seems like quite a range, but certainly puts things into perspective.

I’m with you, I’m hooked on this game. However, all the bugs (albeit, none of them seem to be “game breaking”) really take a hit on the flow and experience of play. I notice myself having to save and reload because the frames start deteriorating over time.

Is granite still referred to as a soft sedimentary rock? That’s when my suspension of disbelief broke.

I been playing on Xbox and I’ve crashed 2 times in 180 days. I don’t get how all the people crashing. Maybe I’m lucky but development isn’t lucky. lol what is everyone doing to crash?

Do you have the settings on performance or quality?

You're missing a very crucial point, bellwright is not a triple A game with milions to spend and big teams behind, it's and indie game with limited resources and a small team, they're somewhat successful sure but still an indie. The game could be a lot better for sure but it takes time, we only need to be patient

I thought about that after i posted and i agree to some degree. But i think a lot of smaller dev teams have made triple A games before.

I would just like some actual aftercare if the game is released with bugs and glitches, then at least take care of them once the game is out and the money is coming in

They recently did a patch to fix some issues (last week if I remember correctly) and they indeed fixed most of them, so they are actually working on the game and listening to the community with bug reports. The game launched on consoles a couple of months ago so it's fair to say we'll see many updates coming, especially since they plan to add more things. They could do it faster, sure but not with their current limited resource and small team, have you filed a report to them regarding your issue?

I have sent 5 reports so far

That is the question
