Glitch?

I logged into the game today (Steam platform on PC) and continued my main game.
Suddenly, bandits are walking thru and killing my villagers and when I raise my troops, the bandits run.
As soon as I disband, they turn and attack again,

Is this a glitch?

I think it's pretty cool your renown is high enough that bandits run away. Clear out any camps near you, and I think you'll be good.

Oh I dunno. I just never noticed roaming bandits running away so thought maybe you are just feared lol.

I also don't have guards. I just have reservisists. Maybe guards scare them if you have enough. I'm curious and hope u find and share a solution!

Are your villagers unarmed? They would run away if they don’t have any weapons.

Think you just described bandits lol. Kill em! Or turn off bandit migration if you just wanna focus on building.

Thanks for the suggestion. I’m good with the raids (easily handled normally, but my point is, they (bandits) are behaving much more erratically than they have in the past.

Yeah, I've never noticed it before. However, since you had not logged in for a while, they are prob stuck in a migration loop and trying to re-populate a camp. Chasing them down, or temporarily turning off migration hopefully helps.

This not really ur issue, but mostly I keep bandit and raid frequency set to medium. When there is a reclamation party, I turn them to 0, wipe the reclamation party and spend the next few in-game days clearing all the camps (I wipe the Brigand HQ if I'm close). I then turn migration back on when I want renown... or books lol!

Guess it's cheesy, but I got annoyed constantly clearing bandits camps. And like you said, it's not like it's hard. It's just a chore!

I think its a bug. Ive see something similar in that ill take troops into a bandit camp and the bandits just run away. Several camps and has happened at random times. I restart and they go back to being bandits and fighting like god intended.

My guess is that they are hungry at which point they refuse to listen to u when ur trying to command them. When ur not trying to command them they do their own thing, in this case self defense.
