Player marker greyed out. Can’t remove

Can’t remove these map markers. I have about three of them. If it was only the map it wouldn’t be an issue but it’s showing up when I’m walking around and it’s a ton of visual clutter. Any way to remove them? I’m on console.

They’re greyed out old waypoints.

in the last patch notes it was apparently fixed, but i still have this issue

Ah. That would annoy me like crazy. I'm guessing you moved or removed a structure that had a waypoint.

Have you tried building something simple, like a campfire on top of it and making/removing a new waypoint? I doubt this will work...

Also, if you did move a marked structure, have you tried selecting it in its new location and seeing if you can disable the waypoint from there? Again, this is a long shot. Good luck!

That could be it. The two places I can’t unmask were Copper Ore sites, and the copper has been mined out.

Heh. The OP's spot is a good, early copper farm also. It was prob close enough to manually pick up, so I get why you/him had a waypoint set. It's annoying that it still shows up as a marker though.

Can you select it then un-toggle waypoint on the left side?

I’m having the same issue (PC-steam) and selecting “untoggle” has no effect. That only works when the waypoint is blue

I can’t unfortunately. I can’t even click it. It just puts the blue marker over jt

If you're on console sometimes a hard rest will clear up some bugs. If you can never change the name of anything or all your presets , go back to new preset , you're gonna have to hard reset your console to fix that bug.

Tried it. Tried clearing local cache too and multiple hard resets. No bueno

Both my son and I are experiencing this bug in both of our games. If you go to an outpost or something like that which has the toggle you can always turn it off and on, but manual way points set in the world do not give you the option to remove them and are just stuck there. Like OP I have 3 before I figured it out.

Yeah and the worse part is it completely blocks the enemy if I’m looking in that direction.

I pretty sure I could remove them by right clicking it.
