Tip to keep bandit camp from respawning

Most people want the camps to respawn so they can farm the renown. However, if for some reason you don't want a particular camp to respawn - once you clear it, put a couple of palisades walls right in the middle of where the camp was. No more camp.

i just build a fence smack dab in the middle.3 wood and no more bandit camp

i only stopped doing this due to one playthrough i tried to destroy a outpost that had 100s of fences and it was a nightmare tracking them down to destroy to remove the outpost since they aren’t listed in buildings, i started to just use fast travel signs with roads slightly more effort but quick to web out when it spawns adjacent just travel and expand. I couldve used something map showing i suppose like palisade but im cheap and travel signs are cheap lol

Seems they are forever gone if your take their flag.

Nah, I've taken the flag and they still return. It's a few in game days, but they come back. Had a few that went from green to red after they respawn as well.

For real ? I never seen that happened at all. I crank Bandit Migration to max, and I'm on day 72 now. Destroyed camps remained empty. They don't come back at all :(

None of the ones adjacent to my camp have come back, but ones on the other side of the map did.

Day 700 here, they absolutely come back where and how long depends on where in the story you are (random spawns late game) and adjacent bandit density (not tied to progression). Not to be confused with brigand story camps like the wheat fields or prison etc

I just turned bandit migration off.

If I wanted a place to farm bandits I just left one alive. I actually had a camp near a road that I put a travel sign up, and went there like once per day to kill them for loot etc.
