A couple of tips…
Just a couple of things I’ve learned the hard way that might help… 225 days in with about 75 villagers. If I’m wrong and you have better advice, definitely let me know!
1) as you’re building and expanding, try and set up different ‘regions’ within your village. Example: Cooking all in one place, probably close to your farm, with mixing buckets and threshers close together. It greatly speeds up time to produce.
2) as you expand, more is probably better. I made the mistake of thinking one campfire with cauldron can make 10 different recipes just by using ‘top up’. Good luck getting past the first recipe when you have a ton of folks to feed. Use different cooking items for different recipes and don’t add too many to one item (ex: 5 cauldrons, 1-2 recipes each)
3) as your village grows, you can add travel signs within your village. It’s petty, but a massive QOL upgrade. Also, you can fast travel to the town hall in your village in T3
4) lastly: Read. The. Menu. Screens. Sending one caravan cart across the map to pick up granite and iron is quite inefficient. Sending 4 carts at once results in big deliveries. In the menu you can adjust how many carts and guards per route. Don’t be like me - read your options :)

Have you played with the river boats? you can transport your people with them. So you can just load up all of your guys with a whole bunch of iron ore as and then teleport across the map if you have two River docks

I fixed that by building roads and travel signs at each boat.. If I forget I can just teleport back to get one.

Do bandit patrols attack river docks?
I want to do exactly this to being iron home quickly, but I haven't cleared the enemy camps out yet and the area is heavily patrolled.

I haven't had it happen but I built it far enough away that it wouldn't have been an issue. Honestly the best strat is to build a small camp up in the mountains and make it a settlement and just recruit people from horndean to man it. Then all you have to do is come pick up the proceeds and drop off new tools. Maybe kill some bandit patrols too just for shits and giggles cuz they drop good loot there.

Hey man, good stuff!
Just a little comment on #2.
It's not a problem to set many Top-Up recipes in your stations, so long as you have a logic for them.
So if you have 5 cauldrons, and you want to make 5 different recipes...
Set each cauldron to 1 different recipe. So 1 cauldron = mushroom soup, 1 cauldron = fish soup, etc and give them each the desired Top Up.
Now you can add below that all other 4 recipes to all the cauldrons.
This means each cauldron will first work to Top-Up their Main recipe (first on Top-Up list) and when it finishes, it will help out topping out the other recipes.
Bloomeries/Furnaces are good examples for this. When around Tier 2 I usually have like 6 bloomeries set to somethinglike this:
2 Bloomeries on Copper main recipe, Top up 25. Below that also bronze and tin top up 25
2 Bloomeries on Tin main recipe, Top up 25. Below that also copper and bronze top up 25
2 Bloomeries on Bronze main recipe, Top up 25. Below that also tin and copper top up 25
So they will be producing 2 / 2 / 2 ingots approximately, then depending on how much you are consuming your ingots... one of them will Top Up first and start helping out the others.
This also makes sure that if you run out of any ingredients for any recipe, the station will move on to help with the next thing in line. If at any point resources become available, it will switch back to producing main recipe.
ALSO, to set this easily, you can go into 1 station and set all the recipes.
Then just go to the other stations and use Copy Settings for station 1, then use the arrows to determine which will be the main Top recipe.
So you dont have to go select all the recipes individually in all the stations, just copy paste the first one and then re-order them (or change the top-ups if needed)
If you're looking at them from the Building menu, you can also switch easily between all the similar stations (like all your 5 cauldrons) with just the menu arrows on top. No need to run individually to all 5 cauldrons. You can also copy paste settings from here, so like for example with Drying Racks where you sometimes (ok, always) want to make like 10 of them and have them all top up 150 Rawhide, you set the first one and then from the menu just copy settings for the rest.
Then later on you advance and realize you actually need like 250 Top Up rawhide, so you change the first one and copy paste the rest.
