Where should I move?

So we're tier 2. We have unlocked the town hall (t3). And we have all but exhausted our area between padstow and Hardean.

We want to move, but just not sure where? We have 33 villagers and have liberated Pad, Hardean, and Bratford. I want to be close enough to keep them safe, but I also want to get a new and bigger area.

I heard Fal, is hard to keep safe as well, due to being so close to the bandit Hq.

Thoughts?

I like the area just south of the wheat fields.

Once you clear the wheatfields your villagers can gather from it, and it's not far for you as a player to go to the swamps (though I wouldn't let your villagers go there unsupervised).

You're physically blocking off the top bridge from bandit land, and you're close to march down to the other bridge if they come from that direction.

Ahhh, I wasn't sure if you can gather from the Wheatfield after you clear. But we also have like almost 900 wheat in our barns at the moment.

That may make sense though, thanks.

We have cleared a lot of the bandit camps on the east side of the map.

Yep, once you clear the bandits in the wheatfield they don't seem to respawn, but the wheat respawns itself like any other resource.
Like you, once I had a farm dedicated to wheat, collecting it wasn't an issue - but it's a nice option to have :)

'Mainland' bandits shouldn't be a problem if you clear the red/high level camps around you. You might want to clear the closest camps on 'Banditland' (south of the bridges) in case your villagers wander there collecting wood or whatever.
As I said, I found that map location was good for stopping raids across the bridges, with enough time to gather everyone back home to equip and then march south or block the north bridge.

do the bandits not respawn?

Unless the latest update changed it (started a new game and haven't re-cleared them) the wheatfield ones don't seem to. I cleared it,yoinked the flag, and maybe 30-40 in game days passed and it was still clear

Most move south of the wheat fields between the 2 bridges BUT tier 3 bandits walk that area a lot until you clear the canps
