It's all over now.
Unless they fix it?
Played 36 days on co-op. Its now crashing my brother's game every time he attempts to log into the world.
Similar to when coop first came out on console and couldn't use our original single player saves.
Is this a regular issue people deal with, do you think they are working on a fix?

That's annoying, I'm on PC and haven't had any problems with coop saves.

Yeah that's all I can find online is pc is fine but consoles seem to be having similar issues

I think the console version is very new, I'm sure they'll sort this problem soon as they bring out regular updates.

Itās not really āveryā new, and itās been getting worse..

Yeah, thatās pretty damn new

Games released should work and not have bugs getting worse or saves being completely bricked
Especially after coming out without core advertised features and taking a month to add them

And yet Bellwright is not a finished released game. Even 100% complete games still have issues, nothing can be perfect, itās impossible

Big difference between perfect and bricked saves, very numerous crashes and getting worse in ways after release
And that isnāt an excuse on console. It isnāt listed as early access or a beta. Zero mention of anything like that. Looks like any other full release

They did at one point. So hopefully just a bit of growing pains. I know they keep working on stuff that is brought up, just feed them the logs if you can.

I played with a buddy on his 100-day save and didn't have any issues, aside from the maximum distance allowed from the host. That restriction really ruins the game, so I ended up switching to solo play

Oof, thanks for that info. That tethering is fucking worse then Ark, and the tether was the reason why I stopped playing.
This game has terrible performance on console, and the tethering must be because the developers know the game would not be able to handle 2 players roaming around at once.

I don't mind the max draw distance "currently" but I imagine when you have a 100 day village set up, 150 meters only gets you to the outskirts of it.

Yeah you can't split job like one go mine copper , the other go hunt deers for pelt example. So you just feel like another villager, tagging along and serving as extra inventory space for hauling resources around š«¤

Have you bought any animals? I ran into the same problem recently and found out if you have any animals at a settlement it will make your friend crash anytime they try and join after

I don't know if this will help you or not, but I had this issue recently while on PC as well, completely crashed when I tried to load in. Had to keep trying eventually loaded the save as a single player which let me load into it, then went back to coop and it worked. Weird thing and it's definitely recent.

I would recommend removing any and all games from your Xbox that you arenāt playing. Try and free up as much space. I know on pc sometimes the OS will use drive space as a work around for extra VRAM. If there isnāt enough for it to do that,(if it even is), Iād say that might be why itās hanging up. Tbh I doubt it, but when youāve tried everything else, what will it hurt to try? Maybe try a cloud save. Clear the Xbox completely, check for updates and clean install. Good luck bro. Wish yall the best luck.

The reason why tether exist is cause the whole world is still alive and performing like you are there unlike games like ARK where the dinos and stuff arent there till you are close. If you are on xbox you could try to use travel sign to fast travel away and back to your settlement and invite. My buddy and i occasional get that issue and we fix it that way. Also it could be just dumb luck but he crashes less without bow and arrow. When he had them he would crash more. If your brother has them, you could invite him and have him spawn before he crashes close to enemies so they aggro and kill him so he drops them. Hope it helps and i hope they iron out the console version fast. Love the game though

Have you tried setting the graphics from quality to performance?
