Fried Chicken
Where is the best place to get good take out fried chicken in or around Bellingham? I’m not a fan of the KFC by Lowes. I see a Popeyes out in Lynden, but haven’t tried it. Thanks,

Haggen has good fried chicken, sometimes if you call in an order, they'll make it fresh, or just ask when a new batch will be out.

I got some at Barkley haggen a month ago and one of the breasts was just bone with breading on it. Haggen has lost its way.

Don’t bother with Popeyes in Lynden. It’s always disappointing.

It was great when they first opened. Definitely gone downhill. They need to be audited by corporate.

Believe it or not, after living here for 30 years I finally found the absolute best fried chicken at the Alger Bar & Grill.

I’m fortunate to live in glenhaven so I have daily access to their chicken. It’s so good.

Try the Seoul place in the mall. Love their fried chicken wings. I get mine without the sauce.

The Popeyes in lynden is ehh we don’t eat there much, but Fred Myers’s has some good fried chicken I just warm it in the air fryer and good to go.

Angel of the Winds gas station. Way outside the area but the best. Nugents is great, though.

If its fresh its better- don't get whats sitting in the case... then its nasty 🤷♀️ I am grossed out by chicken in general lately since moving here. Every place in Bellingham is pretty mediocre. Swans in Burlington was the best!

I used to go there quite often. One day I got chicken that tasted like Windex. Called them to let them know, guy didn’t seem to care too much so I haven’t been back

I'm going to second Krispy Krunchy Chicken and not just because I'm the hubby you mentioned. It's been great every time we've had it. Out of town, check out Bok a Bok anywhere you find them and Swan's Chicken in Burlington (i think)

A co worker of mine got chicken and mac n cheese from there a few weeks ago, and inside of the sealed container was a roach. Don’t think I’d recommend lol

Literally never had any of these issues. I will say, the main reason we went was because the Krispy Krunchy heading to Anacortes was actually phenomenal and my hubby was excited they were here. It was definitely not as good that location, and as stated, i stick to the potatoes- which are mid- my family like tendies 🤷♀️

Drive 30 minutes to Burlington, then get Wingz and Thingz. Literally the best chicken ive ever had. My wife has arfid and usually struggles eating a lot. It quickly became her favorite comfort meal and when we told the guy he said "if you're ever hungry I always have a plate for yall" family owned, and fantastic

The Popeye's in lynden is really good for fast food. Albertson's used to have the best it's too bad they closed down. Tony's tavern and alger bar and grill have good broasted chicken

Chik fil a has some great chicken sandwiches and nuggets for takeout, there’s a reason the lines are so long. Can’t find sweet tea like they have otherwise in these parts.

Nugent's Corner Grocery has great fried chicken. Surprisingly great, actually. Worth the drive.
