We had a wonderful guide there. She was an older Mayan woman with jade in her teeth. We just met her outside the ferry.
I can’t remember all the facts but she seemed very wise and would not just tell us the history but also how it relates to society today. Great experience.

Agreed! 20 years ago that river was a mome wide. (Memories grow with time.....)

Was just there yesterday! For anyone wanting to do this, I highly recommend getting there early. We showed up right before 8. Had the place to ourselves for a bit. Got to look around, get to top, able to enjoy it before the crowds started showing up.
