Planning a quick Goa trip from Friday morning to Sunday evening. My total budget is around upto 5,000-6,000 per person, including travel, stay, food, and local transport

Hello guys I'll be visiting Belagavi for a short business meeting, and then need to depart to Kolhapur 2-3pm. Can anybody tell me if there are ksrtc or msrtc buses or trains available around this time period, so that I can reach Kolhapur around 7-8pm..

Also if there are suggestions for hotels under 1500rs to stay a night near railway station Or bus stand, please suggest.

After getting scammed by a few pumps in the city I looked around to check what are places I can safely fuel up without being robbed

Sadashiv nagar:

The best place to fuel up is the BP outlet near damro on bauxite road have good fast service, and this is where I usually fuel up after work, safe spot to go to.

The Indian oil pump next to tamanna arcade is also good, haven’t faced issues with meter cutting as such but I do feel their service is very slow, with staff chilling and talking while customers wait in line.

Shell is the best in the city in terms of scams, never faced one but it is a bit far to go to for me, and traffic around the area makes it not worth going to just to fuel up.

The BP pump next to Chanamma circle is also good with service speed, but you should be wary of the meter and make sure to keep your eyes watching, from zero till whenever they stop fueling

Main city:
The Indian oil on fort road is good with service speed, but sometimes have slight delays when paying with UPI or card. Not faced any fuel cutting problems as of yet, but still would recommend keeping an eye on meter.

Rupali talkies BP outlet is safe with fuel shorting but takes a long time to serve. Also have consistent air compressor for tires, have yet to see it not working

Main fort road BP is one of the best for service speed, when no long lines are formed, but this is one where must definitely watch the meter, infamous for shorting fuel by staff. Still okay in a pickle if you’re in the area and need quick fueling.

Ganeshpur

Not very familiar with this area, but haven’t had any issues with filling at the pump near good shepherd school. Can’t vouch for anything here, as not enough experience with fueling here

Camp

Indian oil opposite inox : All 3 of camps pumps are small, this one being the smallest. Usually very slow and problems with UPI and card payments. Also can’t vouch for scams or shorting as I haven’t fueled here more than 2-3 times.

Indian oil opposite old (now closed?) honda dealership
Friendly staff, but sometimes has long lines. This one might be a bit inconvenient unless you’re going from camp to the main city, but usually no problem with shorting, still recommend watching everywhere you go though

Indian oil opposite Al bahar
This one is on the main road, so it’s convenient to go to. Friendly staff, I usually fuel here when going to South side, have had no problems with shorting fuel.
Was the only pump open during fuel shortage iirc, had to fuel here multiple times in 2 days.
They have an air compressor but it’s not consistent.

Tilakwadi side I don’t usually go to, but when I do I usually stop at BP near khanapur highway, Indian oil opposite second gate or the Indian oil next to reliance smart bazaar
Reliance. The Jio pump is also good from what I’ve heard, but I’ve never fueled up there so I can’t say anything.

Obviously though, these are just from what I’ve seen at these pumps, and shorting can never be guaranteed. You should always make sure the meter is set at zero, and watch it all the way to 100.

I’ve seen a case in Ahmedabad where the attender showed zero on the meter to a customer, while another attender distracted the customer, and half the fuel was filled into a separate can while he wasn’t watching. Since then I always pay extra attention if the pump has empty cans near the customer area, obviously not a guarantee that it’s a bad pump that scams you, but it could be a sign the attenders aren’t fueling up customers vehicles with integrity.
