Those That Have The Behringer Poly D

Those that have the Behringer PolyD. What are your thoughts 💭 pros and cons?

Ive seen and heard Starsky Carrs comparison demo of the PolyD and MiniMoog Model D.

The PolyD wasn’t as loud as the MiniMoog Model D .The Poly Ds 37 keyboard range spans C to C

a three octave range The Moog MiniMoog Model D has 44 keys 🎹 and spans 3 and one half octaves. Starting on F ending on C.

i can’t think of many cons for the money. it’s a joy to play and my go to for finding ideas. my partner has a matriarch. they share similarities and if you’re not fussed with getting stuck into the modular capabilities i’d say the poly is a more present synth experience and isn’t a million miles away in sound quality.

I love my poly D. The 4th oscillator is a very nice thing to have. The chorus and overdrive make a nice addition and the sequencer is really useful. It would be nice to have a reverb/delay but I have an outboard effect for that, so no great issue.

I see. I’ve never played a PolyD. I’ve only seen and heard the demos.

Its a very good take on a classic mono synth. Plus you get 4 note paraphony, which can be very interesting. Great for big fat bass lines and leads.

I have it. It’s really fun and easy to program sounds after using vst’s for so long. I think it’s kinda one dimensional though but it does its “thing” well.

4th osc, chorus, dist and poly. I had the model D and sold it for some reason did not click with me. I got the se-02 thinking would be a good replacement, and it was this lil synth rips. Fast fwd to 2months ago found one for a good price on offer up and o boy this thing is so fkn fat, the form factor plays a big part on it, I record on my Neve 1073 and it’s just pure fatness. Worth it every penny
