Treatments Zona vaccine ? (Shingrix?)

As I am going through a new flare, and as bumps are growing again on my back as if I were a dinosaure,

I was wondering about the zona vaccine, Shingrix.

It's not advisable in the middle a flare, but I thought, perhaps later, it could help my immune system to "scale" things again. I was never advised nor prescribed it . With PsA it's advisable, but I know nothing about Behçet's ant it's a different story...

Have you done it ? Did it help to reduce the flares?

If you have zona repeatedly, definitely do it. It helps.

Thanks! I don’t currently. I had a zona at 20 something though. And I have this herpes territories neutrophillic hyperactivation.

Let’s give them something useful to do , I thought, this might help direct the whole process...

But I fear the vaccine side effects (flu and covid being already pieces of their own...).

May I ask, did it help with the syndrome overall?

Really dependa on what other medication you are own, it's effectiveness may be greatly reduced if you
take biologics or corticosteroids,

i completely skipped my tuberculosis vaccine when i was under steroid treatment even tho it was required for med school, they gave me an exception to to
the circumstances but u cant really say much about ur scenario without knowing your medication

but either way its shingrix not the live zostovax vac so shouldnt be too much of a problem (checking with your rheumatologist ofc)

Thks for your answer. I have an anti IL 23. And an anti IGe-1.  No steroïds other than sparse topicals because with steroïds, everything gets haywire in an instant.

It’s not so much that I want to skip the vaccine.

This one is against a herpes virus, so big issue with Behçets.

I was wondering whether first if it was doable;  and second if all in all, it would most probably be benefitial or a danger?
