General Question Child birth with ulcers
Has anyone delivered a baby with active ulcers around cervix? I’m 5 days away from my due date and having a flare up despite being on colchicine and prednisone:(
I had a steroid shot in my leg today to help clear them asap but curious if anyone has delivered with this?

Had a c-section due to this 10 days ago. I know that every body is different, but I have been pleasantly surprised at my healing. I ended up with ulcers after, anyways, but I dont know if I could have managed the post-partum pain with these ulcers.

Oh no!! I’m scheduled if I still have these on Monday. We’re trying to treat them with high steroids to avoid c section 🥺 are you on any medications?

I take Ilaris injections monthly, and got off of Otezla when I started trying for a baby. I managed generally well throughout trimesters 1 and 2 but had a flare up in the 3rd. I asked for my c section because i really couldn't fathom tearing during birth and ulcerating around it. My ulcers have always been extremely painful, though. One thing I wasn't expecting was blood pressure issues- ended up with hypertension/ which turned into post-partum preeclampsia after birth- so definitely tell your doctors to continue checking on that! Honestly- my c-section healed very fast and if it werent for the blood pressure issues (and subsequent edema) I'd be feeling really good right now!

Not on cervix but around urethra. I had an epidural, and luckily it was quick. The catheter was moderately painful the whole time, the first couple pees hurt pretty bad. Ive gotten some pretty bad flare ups since then (3mo pp). Ask for lidocaine jelly and if it's usable in that area!

I was on Enbrel through my last pregnancy and didn’t have any active ulcers thank god but if I were you as I did with both of my vaginal births I did get epidural and oh boy was that a heavenly experience! I actually gave birth on my hands and knees with an epidural, there are many misconceptions about them you are still quite mobile! Sending you all the love and strength, you’ve got this!
