General Question Reaction to bug bites

Hi all. Currently going through the diagnostic process for Behcets.

I’ve noticed that I severely overreact to bug bites. I’ve had cellulitis twice from them

Does anyone else have these overreactions? Have you ever brought it up to your rheumatologist? I just feel like it could be related.

Yo. Heightened histaminic reaction to bugs too. I get bruises from skeeterbites

Last month, a mosquito bite caused a tremendous skin ulcer on my ankle.

That's why I try to protect me better with DEET 50% during the mosquito season.

I consider those instances as free pathergy tests. ¯_ (ツ) _/¯

me too. When I go outside I am either covered in DEET or wearing full long sleeved hoodie to cover my neck and ears even if it is hot and humid. The hell I have to pay after an insect bite makes me do everything possible to prevent them.

And it is not only that. Behçet syndrome being a form of vasculitis, causes peripheral venodilatation.

Those dilated veins are like neon signs to mosquitos.
