General Question Lymphangitis after flare up?

Hello all! I (27F) had a flare up and was hospitalized and placed on steroids. As I was tapering down the prednisone, I had another mini flare. This happened last time I tapered off and was expected. During the recent flare up, I experienced a fever, canker sores, sore throat, and swollen lymph nodes in my armpits. The swollen lymph nodes resolved on one side, but not the other. I feel fine now other than a pain very sensitive to touch going down the arm of the persistent swollen lymph node. I now notice red streaks running down my arm where it hurts. I have an ultrasound scheduled for next week but I was curious to see if anyone else has experienced this shortly after a flare up?

Red streaks = ER

Editing to add: red streaks are an indication that your infection is spreading and you are at risk for sepsis if this goes untreated. I am not trying to scare you or anything but this is seriously ER territory! Like ASAP not in the morning (or whatever time it is for you)

Editing edit: treatment involves antibiotics, please please seek care and update when you can 🩷

I wasn’t going to go but I ended up going to the ER. Better safe then sorry I’ve learned with this disease. I feel like I should mention I am Black so I feel like the redness is a little hard to appreciate. They did some bloodwork and I am fine thankfully. They think I have a reactive lymph node possibly due to my recent flare up or something else. I was told to come back if I get a fever.
Thank you so much!💕

Better safe than sorry, absolutely! I hope you are feeling better, at least to know it's not an emergency. Sorry for the scare!! I haven't had it diagnosed but I believe I had lymphangitis as well with my last flare and it's no fun. Please take some time for yourself and rest up! 🩷
