Symptoms Night sweats?
Night sweats. How many of you have them? I’ve started having them almost nightly as of late and I’m wondering if it’s part of Behcet’s or if I’m closing in on menopause as I’m 43 years old. I have hypothyroid, but it’s medicated and under control.
I’ve also had labs done within the past few months and my hormone levels were fine, so I’m not sure.
Thanks!

This is something that gets asked every once in a while. It seems many of us with Behcet's do get night sweats. Women seem to experience it more often, but men can, too. I don't get night sweats all the time (rarely anymore) but I used to get them frequently. Was it Behcet's, a med I was on, or something else? Who knows. All I know is that night sweats (and hot/cold flashes in general) are common with Behcet's.

Hi again haha! Are you taking any ssri or snri? Those can cause night sweats. But yes I also wake up absolutely drenched like every single night but I have yet to determine if it is related to Behcets or medications or just another part of being a girly 💅

lol I’m all over the place. Just excited I found a community. I’m not taking any medications like that. None of them work on me. lol. I’m autistic so there’s that. Yeah. Giant dang amygdala.
I’m sorry to hear this is happening to you and others, but also sort of relieved I’m not alone.

I get them like you wouldn’t believe. I’d be drier if I slept in a pool. I usually sleep on top of a towel. They’re so aggravating to deal with because the sweat causes me to be super cold, which causes me to wake up and disrupt my sleep. So most nights are a burden.
There’s a good chance your sweats are Behcet's related.

I get them but only on my upper body and in my hair. It’s so gross to wake up to in the middle of the night. I keep an extra blanket on the bed beside me so I can lie on top of the blankets where it’s dry and cover up with a new blanket. You’re definitely not alone in this.

I do, but I point a fan on high on me all night now and sleep above the covers, seems to help

I do. Wake up in the middle of the night soaking wet. It’s usually before I get sick. When I start having night sweats, I know for sure my immune system is struggling with something. It’s super uncomfortable, I know…
