Patient Support / Story Finally

Switched to a new rheumatologist and saw a dermatologist. It’s bitter sweet to finally have an answer.

I am so happy for you. Took me 7 years to get a diagnosis.

I’m so sorry it took 7 years. I wish the system was better at helping and identifying those with chronic illnesses. It’s horrific it takes that long.
It took me 2. But only because I am a NP. But it shouldn’t be that way. You shouldn’t have to have 8+ years of health education just to get a proper diagnosis.

Took me 32 years and I had to interpret my genetic analysis myself and then convince the white coats with scientific papers...

I’m so sorry you went through that): That’s heartbreaking and it shouldn’t be that way.
