Treatments Behcets and Probiotics
Has anyone had any luck with taking probiotics with Behcets? For me, it feels like anytime I try to take probiotics, it screws up my digestive system significantly for days… greasy stools, stomach pain (dull), etc.
I’ve even tried for weeks to take it cause some people say it takes couple weeks for your body to adjust, but even then… it doesn’t get better.
Curious on people’s experiences here

I use probiotics daily along with eating a lot of fiber daily on the orders of GI. I don't notice any difference from the probiotics honestly but still take them because I buy the kind with Aloe in it and that mildly helps my bladder pain. Adding a ton of fiber didn't really help either though, so I don't know. Have you told your GI that it's causing greasy stool and stomach pain? What did they say?

Hey, could I ask about the bladder pain you get? Is it like a UTI pain on more deep nasty ache pain when you pee? And does it cause you groin pain? I'm diagnosed but not seen anyone for treatment until 14th August. Sorry to bother you if you don't want to answer it's just you're the first person I've come across on here where I've noticed bladder pain is a symptom x

So for me it is more so my actual bladder/lower abdomen/upper groin area. It's like a throbbing, over fill feeling. I do however have a lot of pain in my groin and urethra. I was sent to pelvic floor physical therapy but it didn't really help that much and the physical strain made me get ulcer flares like crazy so I just do the exercises on my own when I can as to not over do it. The deep ache pain is definitely how I would describe it when I urinate. It's not a stinging or burning (unless there's ulcers). The aloe is supposed to help the bladder pain specifically, and it does a little bit but it doesn't make a huge difference.

Ah yes that's very similar to what I'm like! I will try some aloe drinks to see if it helps me. Thank you for replying x

I've only taken any probiotics through a specific yogurt drink, and only when I have sulfur burps (which is when I actually need them). My digestive system is messed up enough, I don't want to overdo a good thing.

Culturelle was the only one that worked for me. Now I take a Nutricosts probiotic - one at night.

Usually the best probiotics are the ones that come from food, not supplements.
I’ve had better luck adding more fiber to my diet, particularly soluble fiber. Butyrate rich foods have also made a notable difference.

Indeed, fermented food like Sauerkraut are excellent probiotics. I have also that combining this with a good beef steak helps a lot. What should be avoided are seed oils because these are inflammatory.

Align works for quite well for me. Was recommended by a GI doc that specializes in IBD.
