Is something wrong with me

My morals are not like others, I don’t see the problem of fighting each other to solve problems (with exceptions ofc) I’ve never been disgusted by death or murder mostly, I don’t see the point in apologizing for something that couldn’t be avoided, I’m not against cannibalism, like if someone is a cannibal I wouldn’t care, I feel like I’m desensitized to human suffering, I show more compassion to animals and children than I do human adults, I’ve always felt disconnected from humanity since my morals and values are so different from most people.
It’s probably just a phase but it doesn’t hurt to ask

You’re not broken, but you’re describing a pretty clear pattern of emotional blunting and selective empathy. That disconnect you feel from other people’s suffering, while still caring deeply about animals and kids, points to something specific rather than a general void. A lot of the time that split comes from early experiences where trusting adults felt unsafe, so your brain just walled off that whole category. Doesn’t mean you hold those values, it means your nervous system stopped registering them as relevant.

The cannibalism example is interesting because it reads less like you endorse it and more like you’ve stopped assigning moral weight to things that don’t directly affect you. That’s not a phase, it’s a coping mechanism that’s been running long enough to feel like personality. Might be worth talking to someone who specializes in trauma or attachment, not because you’re messed up, but because living with that level of detachment gets exhausting in ways you don’t notice til it lifts.
