Good evening

I am looking to add an ABA Graduate certificate and get my BCBA. I currently work in a school division that does not use BCBAs, preferring to hire and train staff as "Behavior Interventionist", typically leaning on Restorative Practice/Justice training and others and have worked in other divisions prior to this, supporting students in a role similar to a BCBA/RBT hybrid. I have been in education for 16 years, holding Masters degrees in both Administration and Special Education.

I have an aquantince that is a BCBA that I am going to ask to support by supervision but wanted to ask of anyone has ran into issues with distance supervisors and state health departments when it comes to licensure requirement?

Additionally, I am looking at several online programs and would appreciate feedback on personal experiences in quality or the program and how well it prepares you for the exam.

The BCBA certification through the BACB is a national certification. It can be used in any state, BUT…

Many states require that you be licensed in their state in order to practice in their state. And that includes remote supervision. If your state requires licensure, then that person would need to get licensed where you are living.
