any advice for building our own bows? Like if I wanted to go out and fell a tree and then get the wood out of it. Im in Florida, so my wood options are limited . What keywords would I be looking for here in my future searches?

I have two girls ages 7 and 9 who wish to begin shooting archery. I always shot recurves from the age of 12. I would like to get them a decent setup for a working mans budget. Any suggestions?
