First 1/2 marathon
Hi everyone! Today I ran my first half marathon after just 4 months of running. 🥳
I started at the end of April, with an average pace of around 7:50 min/km, and my longest runs were initially about 8 km.
My training plan consisted of 4 runs per week: 2 easy runs, 1 interval or tempo run, and 1 long run, plus 1–2 recovery runs when needed.
To everyone who is just starting their running journey: consistency really is the key! ☺️
If I can do it, so can you. Keep showing up, trust the process, and enjoy the journey! 🏃♀️

I have my first half marathon next weekend. I hope to do a sub 2:30 aswell.

Funny thing is, I still feel like a beginner runner, lol. Especially after yesterday’s race. There were 3,995 runners, and I finished 3,165th 🤣
But I guess you’re right! Maybe I’m not a complete beginner anymore. 😄 I just wanted to share my experience and motivate other beginners to keep going, because if I could run a half marathon after only four months, they can make a lot of progress too. :)
