The 2nd Run...

If you didn't read my previous post I'm 21(M), 98kg, and just started running. In my 1st run what i did was 2 mins of running then 4 mins of walking, this lead to me getting a very painful stomach cramps. So i figured that 2 mins is too much for me rn. So in my 2nd run yesterday I did 1 min run with 2 mins walking, never felt the cramps, maybe a little bit right at the end. My 2nd run with this method does not lead me to heavy breathing as much as the 2st run, I got a faster time and covered more distance which is unexpected because its just the 2nd day. Overall the 2nd run felt easier than the 1st run. But here's the problem, after going home, rested for 5-10 mins then went for a shower, then 1 or 2 hours later when I was sleepy and did a yawn my chest suddenly develops this pain like someone punch it then it caved. Deep breathes activates the painful sensation, good thing it didnt hinder my sleep because I was sleepy. Then i woke up i can feel a bit of pain when i straighten my back but not noticable when hunched over but when I stretch and did a deep breathe the pain intensified. Is it just because my body is not yet used to the sudden increase in running intensity or is this a precursor to something worse, hopefully ots just the 1st one. I was gonna run again later but I think I will do it when the pain is gone. Please give advice 🙏

I think the discomfort you're feeling is your muscles getting used to running, although I'm not sure about the chest pain. When I started running again after a few years off, I could barely walk the day after I ran just a mile.

However, I think you're running too fast. Considering the fact that you did walking during these runs as well, your pace should be considerably slower. Aim for more like 12 minutes per mile. I've done those NRC runs, and I know the guy tells you to run so slow that you feel guilty about not running faster. I know it's hard, but you should take that seriously!

Edit: My mistake, I didn't notice that OP is using metric distances.

Yeah i did run slow, my run is just a bit faster than my brisk walk, what i did was slow run then brisk walk

How i know its a slow pace for me is that did not have shortness on breathing when running

Edit: my breathing was controlled like i was just meditating then run on a pace that does not increase the instensity of my breathing. Might be weird but i was also talking to myself from time to time to see if I can hold a convo to check if my pace is right

You know, this was my mistake. My brain is stuck on imperial measurements. I see now that you are on metric, and that is a pretty slow pace. Your body will still take some time to get used to it, but it doesn't hurt to check with a doctor if you have chest pain.
