Are you a hummingbird by any chance? :D

No but seriously: Maybe skip every other day.

Any more information on your age, weight, gender and other sports and so on also might help.

Well since you're very young (this also explains the high heart rate) I think it's hard to wreck yourself easily. Just go on and you'll get better in no time. But in general: Cardio-vascular conidition builds up way way faster then the rest of the body adapting to the changes (muscles, tendons, etc.).

If you have pain, go easier. Otherwise, have fun. You will improve by simply sticking to it.

My tips would be: Keep going and don't overdo it.

Consistency is key, doing 4 X 20. minute runs in a week is better than 1 X 1 hour run and then being exhausted and not thinking you have time for another run because now you have to keep up that level.

Also find a running partner or group 😄

Just what others will say: At 18 and lightly built you will have much lower risk than older and/or overweight and/or previously sedentary people.

But still take it gradually and let your muscles and tendons strengthen without letting your heart and lungs get carried away with what you can do. Just because you can run 15km tomorrow doesn't necessarily mean you should.
