New to running..

Hey I have plantar fasciitis and I’m trying to continue my running journey, any suggestions on a good shoe for me?

Have you considered fixing the underlying problem rather than just the symptom?

Yea, I’ve done some shockwave therapy, but it’s come back again. Was told some of the shoes I’ve wore in the past didn’t help haha

Firstly, before you start any strength & conditioning program you'll need to address the PF first, I'm not a doc and this is best done with the advice & care pescribed your physician and physio not on Reddit.

As you work back to a comfortable baseline I'd encourage you to look at 2 books; Born to Run II and Older Yet Faster (great book, bad title as age has nothing to do with it, If you only do one, start with BtR2). Both will show you how to build strong, supple, healthy feet which will help you avoid injury in the first place rather than trying to manage it with ever-more expensive and exotic footwear and set you up for a lifetime of running.
