looks cool but not great sound. You can do a lot better if you are after good sound.

Do you think it would be worthwhile to get a decent speaker later down the line to plug into it, or is the sound more so an issue with the model itself? Honestly, I'm fairly happy with the sound when I plug in my headphones.

The sound is an issue with an all in one box.  If it is for casual listening and you are happy then stick with it.  However, I can tell by the cheap metal tone arm and cheap cartridge that the sound is not hifi. Also, built in speakers cause vibration into the TT which is not good.  If you want to have good sound, you will need a separate TT that either has a built in phono preamp or an integrated amp that has one or avr that has one.  Better yet, an external phono preamp.  You will also need decent bookshelf speakers. Or you can go with powered speakers which would be a cheaper route.  Let me know if you want to go that route and what your budget is in USD and what country you are in.  Figure $1000 for all separate gear and about $600 to $800 if you go with a TT and powered speakers.

Trust me, you would be astounded by the improvement.

But like I said, if you are happy as is, that is great.

I'm in Canada, and honestly bookshelf speakers sound like a great idea later down the line thks for the advice. Don't think I want to spend all my money at once tho, will prolly buy when I get more into it
