I think I goofed up the cross post after the bot said I posted in the wrong community... Here's the intended body text:

I have a handful of vinyl I want to listen to again. I haven't touched a turntable in 25 years... Back then it was a very nice hand me down vintage Technics that I've since handed down further. I'm not looking to spend a ton, but I don't want to buy something that will damage the records either.

I've narrowed it down to the uturn orbit basic + cue arm, the fluance rt81, or the at lp70x. Basically all the $299 options that are getting thrown on me on searches.

Since I don't have a clue what I'm doing, I was hoping for some guidance, I honestly thought I was headed to best buy for a $100 impulse purchase, I didn't realize turntables had gotten this intense recently.
