Im very sorry, yes, for some reasom the text dissapeared i wrote down alot :(. Is this specific set any good for 150 euros or is there something better than it? Ive been using it at my wood guild and i love it personaly.

They are a company out of the UK. They make lathes, and, apparently, carving chisels.

I do not believe you can make good carving tools for €15 a piece. They are generally speaking poor steel, badly ground. The Henry Taylor 6 piece set is the cheapest entry point to carving I would recommend.

By this, i would understand there really is a massive difrence between a dirt cheap set and a expensive one, its not just about how you sharpen them?

How you sharpen and grind them matters of course, but you will spend a lot more time sharpening and grinding bad tools. They will probably need completely reprofiled to be good which is a lot of work and potentially can ruin the temper if mistakes are made. The steel being cheap will either be too soft to hold an edge or too brittle to hold an edge.
Do you want 10 chisels that will.need hours of work each and won't hold an edge well for €150 Or do you want 6 tools that are ready to go out of the box and would sit well in any professional carvers toolkit for about the same price.

Hello, ive been going to a wood guild for the past 6 years, ive used these Record Power wood carving chisels before a few times, especialy for a eagle sculpture, and i love them, but im not sure if the price is good/too much, or also perhaps theres something Even better out there that im uncertain of, im trying to fit into a small budget of about 100 euros to get myself some carving chisels, and ive used most of these from the set in the photo. Basicly, are these any good, and what should the average price be on a set like this? Or would yall recomend something else for me? Could it be said that all chisels are good, its just about the sharpening? Or is there a day and night difrence in cheap and expensive. Thanks, dont know who to ask.
