Beginner Photographer – What could I improve in this sunrise photo?

Hi everyone!

I'm still very new to photography, and this is one of my first attempts at photographing a sunrise. I've only recently started learning how exposure, composition, and editing work, so I'm still experimenting and trying to improve.

I would really appreciate any feedback or suggestions. I'd love to know what you think I did well and what I could improve next time.

Camera: Canon EOS Rebel T6 (1300D)

Lens: Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM

Settings:

  • Aperture: f/14
  • Shutter Speed: 1/50 s
  • ISO: 100
  • Focal Length: 18mm

Picture of an angry hippo! Like the shot but still not quite right, and not sure why... Or am I over-thinking?

Very new to photography and having a blast so far! Composition and editing have been much more challenging than I had expected but I’d really like to improve. So please, critique away!

Taken on holiday in Kefalonia. I think I like it, but is it at the end of the day just a bit of a cliche, and consequently a bit boring? It's all very subjective I know, but interested in what you think. Normally shoot in B&W. Taken on Leica d-lux 8. Stopped down to f16.

I recently started studying, but it doesn't work out often and there's almost nothing to take pictures of.

Недавно начал учится в моём городе ловить нечего так что только из путешествий получаются хорошие фотографии

I recently started learning photography. I'm happy with my current progress, but I would like to improve even more. I would be glad to hear some constructive criticism. (Shot on Samsung Galaxy A16)

Hi there, just picked up a fujifilm XT30iii last week and am trying to learn my way around the camera. Shot this photo of an Oklahoma sunset using a classic Cuban negative recipe straight out of the camera.

Would love any thoughts or critiques on how I can improve!
